By Way of Introduction

There is nothing special about me.

I am in my 60s, I am reasonably healthy, I am retired. I like noticing things. I especially like being free from any schedule, time-table, or clock. I have always preferred finding “the flow” of things. It is my observation that I do much better when I follow the “tide” of events rather than when I attempt to bend the universe to my will.

Someone once said, in response to being asked what their “story” was… “It is my observation that everyone has a history but very few people have a story.” I agree whole-heartedly. I have a history but not a story.

So….. why then have I decided to have a blog you ask?

I have resisted this electronic temptation since its inception. However, lately, some of my friends who like to read what I write and look at my photographs have repeated their observation that I should do this blog thing as a retirement hobby.

O.K.

The tertiary hurdle being hubris (behind lazy & electronic illiteracy) is a double-edged sword. I have seen blogs done badly with obvious grandiose egos and been embarrassed for the author. Conversely, I have seen blogs done well and never once had the thought that the author/owner was in any way being haughty. That is my hope for this effort. I only want to share with you, if you chose to donate your time, those things that I see around me that make me consider them, the things with stories.

I hope to be able to convey them to you and that you will have enjoyed your moments of seeing them from my perspective.
